Petronella Hall Leeds Castle Wallpaper Collection
Leeds Castle
Drawing inspiration from the 900-year-old Leeds Castle, its grounds, and the lifestyle of Lady Olive Baillie in her 1930s country house, designer Petronella Hall introduces three new wallpaper patterns. Leeds Castle, located near Petronella’s home, was meticulously restored by Lady Baillie, who invested a significant portion of her fortune in its upkeep. A collector of exotic birds, Lady Baillie directly inspired two of the designs: Garden Aviary and Lovebirds. The third design, Pargetting Colours, is influenced by the raised plaster decorations found in 16th-century buildings, which also adorn the plasterwork in the castle's old tower.
