Adapted from a section of the Orange Tree design by Walter Crane, originally printed in 1902, Ancient Apple Orchard has been thoughtfully reimagined in the Sanderson studio to depict the charm of Highgrove’s Kitchen Garden. This updated design features an apple tunnel abundant with ancient apple varieties, harvested and prepared for the estate’s restaurant. The wallpaper is surface printed to retain the rich, tactile quality of the original document, preserving its authentic print markings. Sweeping boughs weave through the composition, now rendered in deeper, heritage-inspired tones that echo the ancient apple cultivars grown in the gardens.
